K. Zero Lin

As a Chinese international student with a global perspective, I have embarked on a transformative journey that has not only broadened my horizons but has also shaped me into a versatile scholar in international affairs and an accomplished journalist.

I proudly earned my bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University with the distinction of summa cum laude, dually majoring in international relations and newspaper & online journalism. My academic achievements were further highlighted by my recognition as one of the 13 esteemed Newhouse Scholars. Following this success, I continued to pursue my passion for journalism at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism as a 2021 Toni Stabile Fellow for Investigative Journalism and subsequently earned my first master’s degree.

After spending five enriching years in the United States, I made a deliberate decision to return to the Asia Pacific region to deepen my knowledge in international affairs. I finished my second master’s degree at the prestigious Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore in 2024. Currently, I am based in Guangzhou, China, and conduct research on the Greater Bay Area.
